Just thought i would put up some pics of my dashboard transplant. Dash is from a 97 Mirage.

Just sitting in place and the moment, still need to recover it and make mounting brackets.

It was to big from the windscreen back to the steering wheel. With it in place couldnt get the steering wheel back on. Had to remove about 2-3 inches from it and it was to wide across the car but only had to remove about half an inch from each side to make it fit that way.

I was going to reshape the orginal one to make it more modern looking, but I got this one for $30 so I thought it was worth having a go at fitting it.

Once I have fitted that and engine I will get back to the dash.

Its a bugger of a job but it fits better then the vr4 gearbox heaps more clearance everywhere. Still have to cut the chassis rail but I had already done that when I fitted the vr4 box. I will put up some pics tomorrow.

The vr4 build was getting out of hand, stainless manifold, wastegate, big injectors, etc. Needed money as I was starting a business so sold it and found a cheap mivec engine. I reckon it should be fun to drive with the mivec engine. If I want to go turbo later I can bolt the mivec head onto a 4G93t block as its a straight swap.
