Todays update, stumbled across some retro looking alloys made by a wheel company called ATS in Germany, I've been through that many sets of wheels now it's not even funny, but these had a cool old skool look about them for $100, so I bought em' haha.

Specs are: 14 x 5 1/2" wide with a +25 or +30 offset according to the seller.

Not very wide but the offset isn't too high, so they shouldn't be too sunken.

Just need a good clean 8)

Haha, I may drive a GSL though don't let that fool you into thinking I'm on P's

If it wasn't for my Z32 shitting itself I'd still be driving behind the VG30DETT powerhouse, & left the GSL as a full proper restoraton project.

So she's my full time daily now due to the circumstances, if the engine does hit the gong one of these days I'll probably then start to consider a conversion, I do look forward to ditching the 4G37 don't get me wrong.

I got some mail deliveries today, one of them was a Starion steering wheel w/ radio controls I won on eBay for under $20 in the US, & that was just assuming the teeth would be the same to fit on the shaft of the Cordia.

The leather on it was shit house & worn, so I've started to slice it off then noticed underneath the plastic is a similar Brown to the GSL interior. I'll get a pic up later of it. 8)

you know i only just noticed you still have the stripes along the side, it really adds something alot of cordias are missing them these days going for a sleek look but that really breaks it up makes it look a bit more edgy :D i like it.

Thanks mate, it's changed again since those photos were taken . The Momo steering wheel that I had fitted was just an aftermarket one, but I know what you mean, some Subaru's etc. had facory fitted Momo's that look similar in design.

Cheers Andrew it's well done that shot, now I just need it to be taken again with the new wheel fitted for the all factory look

I agree, it definitely breaks things up with them fitted, especially on a White car. With the GSR front lip, mud flaps, spoiler & any other plastic bits they all blend nicely & complete the 80's look I reckon.

Update:

Drivers side CV Shaft finally started clicking the other week & now both boots were split with shit all over the place, so I picked up the new Driveshaft yesterday through Bursons for $100, GSP brand.

So fitted it this morning along with some new Super Pro Polyurethane Sway bar link Bushes & new Washers to go with.

Also got a Starion/Conquest steering wheel w/ light up radio controls (also in Orange) from the US delivered yesterday & fitted that up as well after slicing off all of the buggered leather.

Nice one Mike, but can I give you some small advice?

You really need to paint the CV's........straight metal like that won't last long until rust sets in......big lesson learnt for me. :)

Doesn't it, glad I didn't leave it any longer. It was enough for me not to want to drive the car at all, especially the damn noise.

Ahh thanks Andrew, to be honest I didn't even stop to think. I'll have to get around to that as soon as I can then.

Another update:

Picked up side skirts & rear skirt off FRONTN, hopefully I'll have the side skirts on by Sunday & a photo to go with. Not yet decided on the rear skirt.

Funny you mention that, they are Black as well the way I got them, so a fresh coat of Black & on they will go :P

I don't think I'd try to colour match the White again after how the nose cone turned out, haha.

I'm currently arranging with another member at the moment to swap some of my parts for his parts in the factoty White, so I'll aim just to have the lower half of the car Black (front lip, side skirts & rear apron) & return to having a White front grille & bonnet again.

I quite like this NZ example:

Awesome, are the side skirts fibreglass or plastic?

So the bottom of the car will be black just below the body side mouldings?

2 tone then?

Should look good.........but personally I would paint it charcoal.
