Thanks, the Black R33 wheels were nice, but what I was hoping was to go with more period style wheels. The German ATS wheels I was rolling around on for a short while recently didn't do much for the car as I imagined they would !

I dare say this stye Starion wheel is one of the nicest factory designed wheel(s). Not to mention their specs as well. After fitting them up with new tyres today & on the car the 'concave' spoke design looks nice & aggressive too.

I'll get some photos up tomorrow.

Thanks fellas, I'll post some better photos up this week.

And maybe I should of advertised those R33 wheels on here before I sold them, seem to be popular !

These Starion wheels are like new, so I'm in 2 minds whether I paint them or not .. Black would look good again. I'll see how it goes.

ALSO, I don't know if anyone else on here was bidding .. but I just won myself a pair or New Genuine Headlight covers :D

Not a lot has been happening as of late with updates. I'm focusing on spending less money on this for the time being and get myself into another Soarer or an 86 for a weekend car. I will continue this as a project but building the bank balance is the goal at the moment.

Though a small update, last night I ditched my current headunit in favour of another Alpine CDE-121 which I had in my previous car.

I'm also having a windscreen sunstrip vinyl decal made up. It'll be a major relief when sun glare hits & cheaper than new glass or if I were to have a tinting mob do it.

So I decided to buy some Masonite & make a new boot floor. $12 later, it's all fitted up & looking like a proper boot again. Unsure if I will apply material, but possibly some sound deadening underneath of it.

I also had enough of the front speakers, so I picked up some 6 x 9's & hooked them up instead & temporarily have them sitting in the back until I mount them properly in the storage trays in the wall.

While I was at it all I ran the constant 12v back to the clock so no longer will I adjust the headunit every damn trip. I now no longer feel like a primitive man with no luxuries that I was once use to !

.. Also, after the ugliness & hack job of my last muffler from one workshop I had my 3rd & final muffler fitted on Saturday  $20 (from a mate) Red Back brand, with some nice subtle stock looking twin tips & good sound.

Pics to follow.

Nice one Mike.........always great to hear maintenance goes on...........you can cover the rear floor in marine carpet (same as what I have done) it's a bit thicker but will last longer. :)

Cheers Andrew, I just can't help myself with this car as much as I say I'll leave it alone for now, it's not happening

Yeah I think I'll have to go with some marine carpet after seeing yours ! Looks great.

Here is a photo I took today at the end of a cruise, getting all 80's hatcback nostalgic & quite a rare occurrence in general to see these 3 cars all together, if ever.

Cordia, AE86 & S12 reunited.

Yesterday was also the JDMST End of Month Meet, so hopefully some snaps of the Cordia might pop up.
A friend of mine is also mates with one of the photographers from GripShiftSlide.com who caught a lift with him today on the cruise, he got a few rolling shots of the Cordia so as soon as they are uploaded I'll post in here.

I also just put in a best offer for these Rockford Fosgate's, got them for $75. I've decided to mount them in the doors after going through a phase of not wanting to ruin the originality of the car, however I do plan on replacing the Brown trim all together one day so no big deal in the name of good sound.

That line up's just missing one 80's hatch to make it complete... a Renault Fuego Turbo.

Those Rockfords will sound nice, just make sure you amp them up if you wan't them to sound their best.

Renault Fuego, now that would be cool to see !

Still waiting on the Rockfords, looking forward to fitting them up.

Finally I dedicated some time to tinting my tails last week. Thanks to a photo of Bitza's I found the motivation.

Mind the piss poor camera phone quality ! They look to have no glossiness because of it.

Still very visible.

On a side note, anyone got any tips on how to keep the spoilers ends from lifting as seen in the pic ? Sikaflex & a shitload of tape holding it dry ?

Image

It looks here like a dark spot, it's actually inside the tail light. When I replaced the original lights I picked these up from a wrecker, God knows how long they had been sitting. Anyway, this pic also gives a better look at how the Starion wheels sit as well, they fill the guards nicely.

Urethane is your friend for the spoiler Mike.

The tail lights look great...........did you leave the embossing on there or sand it off?

Thanks Andrew. I ended up leaving the embossing on there, got lazy  Though there is a nice set of tail lights at a local wrecker which I might pick up & go all out on & keep as spares so there's no rushing. If they turn out better I'll throw them on !

I'll go past Bunnings tomorrow & pick up some Selleys Urethane if that's the go ?

I used Sikaflex at one stage for it, but to no surprise just turned into an absolute mess as it usually does, haha.

You will need to remove the bottom window trim as the rubber actually sits under it............might be easier for you to find a section of timber to span the hatch and clamp it to either end.........that way the spoiler will cure level.

Glued it down yesterday & let dry over night, a lot nicer to work with than the Black tar nightmare

Today I picked up some Hurricane extractors from Performance Exhaust Ringwood. Which will be fitted next weekend.

Not looking for performance out of this car (that's what the 2nd upcoming car will be there for) but a couple more kw's of overtaking power & for the odd Touge run, these should be a good addition.

So this afternoon I deleted the EGR as well. I think this is the barest engine bay I've ever had !

More updates soon.
