Picked up gaskets today from Andrew and attempted to fit everything up...after an hour of struggling and swearing confirmed the dump pipe doesnt fit lol. Clearence issues with front crossmember which is putting my dump out by literally 3 or 4mm tops.

Obvious solution for me is to take to he crossmember with a grinder and give it a bit of a rub, remove a couple of mm over an area about an inch long. Will do this tomorrow morning.

Apart from that, the good news is Ive had 5 people walk past in the last two weekends and strike up conversations about how they love Cordia's and used to have one/knew a mate with one. Also been getting a lot of sht from them for not having the car running for months haha.

Rather than "grinding" the cross member I would be using a ballpein hammer on the dump pipe to give clearance, this wont sacrifice power over the 3 - 4mm......easier to replace a piece of pipe rather than a cross member. :)

Ballpein worked wonders...completely reshaped the area in question and was going well UNTIL.....i realised now that the second oxygen sensor bung is hard up against the crossmember. going to need to get it cut out and rewelded or grind it flat and fill the hole. too thick to be beaten with a hammer. Devo, spent good part of the day working on it and still no result!!!

Also just realised i need to pay some attention to my water pipe with the ballpein due to the compressor housing sitting against it and stopping the mani sitting flush with the head.

Cars are never ending.

New parts list just grew....

3 inch exhaust coming from Andrew (2demented)
Magnaflow shiny oval rear muffler (still tossing up whether I want there or a dumpy buzz box rotary style)
Ported throttle body (full recoed with new seals etc) with port matched inlet manifold
Speedflow highflow fuel rail
Sard FPR
4 inch stainless air intake pipe and matching stainless piping for plumback Stealth Fx BOV
Evo 3 i/cooler with upgraded inlet/outlet to 2 1/2 inches along with upgraded ADRAD core (extreme cooling in prep for high boost)

Hopefully all of this will be installed by end of June and tune to follow after. Turbo/mani/dump should be finished by the end of this weekend and maybe exhaust installed if I'm lucky.

Decided that I'm going to be going all out now for 2.3 plans (like Bitza) but running of E85 to really get some grunt out of my turbo. Hence highflow fuel rail, FPR...then I'll start collecting the rest like teflon fuel lines, 1450cc+ injectors and a new fuel pump setup.

Fun times...anyone on here done the E85 conversion on a Cordia or any car for that matter?
