Hey guys. Picked up a 1984 Cordia Turbo a few weeks ago, was advertised as 'For Parts $500', so I go around and have a look, needs some love, not running, rust etc. Want to check that it is a real cordia turbo, open up the door and thought 'Hmmm, that interior doesn't look standard', has a sub in the rear, then they go inside and pull out another sub and amp that i can have also, thank you. Still has head unit, but front speakers are gone, also has turbo timer, front mount intercooler, etc. Looks like the yellow wire hasn't been touched, so that is a good thing. They are sick of looking at it and just want it gone, offer them $100, deal done. Line up a car trailer through a mate for a 6 pack of beer, cheering. Haven't had much time so far to play with it, as it was my little boys 2nd birthday on the weekend. But so far it seems that there is no spark, and from reading the forums, might be an E-101 issue, but might not be also, might need to pick a few brains. This is my 1st turbo car, but 2nd mitsubishi, my very first car was a GD Galant which I spent waaaay too much $$$ on. Here are some pics, enjoy. Al. |

Your spark issue is an easy fix........if the tacho needle bounces when cranking the E101 is working.........still no spark?............replace the main control relay unit........its above the ecu behind the glovebox. Love the interior........what a great score for $100! |

Well played for $100. Needs some love but looks like its definitely got potential. The custom interior looks like a pro job too. What's the engine bay like? You'll have to upload some more pics once you've got around to washing it. Welcome to the forums. |

Gave it a quick wash, came up alright, will get rid of the bonnet scoop, no hole in the bonnet, just a bit of wank. As for the engine bay, bit of a mess, and there are some wires that need attention, being an auto elec apprentice, I despise crimp connectors!, along with some dodgy patch wiring, and as usual there are some crimp connectors here that have corroded through. Nothing a few hours with a soldering iron cant fix, also noticed that alot of vac hoses arent connected and are just looped, will have to sort that out. Also shown in the pic (if you can see it), is a fuel pressure gauge, which might be a fuel pressure regulator, and on the other side of the engine is an adjustable boost bleed valve. Have added links from where I am hosting the pics, Overclockers.com.au (if they work!) http://ocau.com/pix/otj3h http://ocau.com/pix/3n7kc http://ocau.com/pix/edhvs http://ocau.com/pix/dwosh http://ocau.com/pix/rr2ew |

Just did a quick tacho bounce test, nothing. So time to operate on the E-101. |

Nice mate, circumstances changed, so had to move the car. Didn't get any time to work on the car at all, found a few things on the house that needed immediate attention, and still fixing. |
