Hi guys,
Just thought I would share "what" I'm up to.........purchased a really cheap gravity feed spray gun (under $20) from Supercheap auto........sick of the suction guns as you can't really spray roofs and the last little bit of the paint remains in the pot........so.......I'll give it a go.........as long as it sprays!

Removed the air fitting and replaced with a RYCO fitting for my airline. Here is what the cheap gun looks like.

Even though this gun is super cheap it actually sprayed quite well, I put 2 coats of blue on my spare grill, just to see how it sprayed.

Turned out pretty good, mind you I didn't rub the grille down before hand. There is no clear coat on the grille.

I have now ordered a scorpion 1.3 gravity feed gun just for clear coat.......should see it this week.

This one is for Grant, your front spoiler is completed, after many hours of rubbing and fixing shatter cracks it's smooth as a baby's bottom!

What are the rest of you guys up to?

Yeah it was a rust repair, here's a pic of it before. The colour looks good from that angle but it is a little bit darker and more "grayish" in certain light.

You have done well..........now I know why you required the turbo badge........stickers don't like grinders.

Excellent repair, did you use bog or replace the section with a steel insert?

Thanks mate, I actually used fibreglass to fill in the rust with finishing putty over it. I don't think i'd have the skill to weld it.

Good to see you're keeping busy Andrew :)

Also M2TC good job, have to learn somewhere as long as you got the rust all out will probably be fine just for the wing only being bog/fiber.

Tomorrow morning I have to swap out the fuel pump on my beast. Its on the blink. New one ready to go sitting on the table ready. :)

You'll be happy when its on Cluless14, I have one on mine, and it looks fantasic. I have the sides and rear also but theyre not on the car. I kinda like it just on the front, but with the mudflaps and on the rest of the car.

I'm so loving this cheap spray gun, I have now painted my grille and passenger mirror with both colour and clear.

I picked up a REALLY straight rear valance and will replace it on the AC.......not too happy with the one that's on it.

Here is how the parts look, very happy with the result, will just need a polish rather than a cut with 1200 and polish.

Here is the drivers mirror I'm currently working on...........got I hate the retaining springs!

Need to make one out of two as one of them is broken. *grrrrr*

Spent today replacing the rear valance for the newly painted one, I know I'm fussy but I didn't like seeing the edge of the panel from the rear of the car.

Image

Here is the car with the replacement valance, I only polished the panel, no sandpaper cutting involved.

Image

Bumper added........the lines are perfect now and I'm happy again. ;)

Image

Didn't notice this "slight" rise in the bumper when I repaired it............Oh well, I'll be on the lookout for yet another one.

Happy motoring!!!

Bogged up the original bumper.........it was pretty wavy on the drivers side.........turned out a treat.

Now to remove the inner panels again and swap them over!!
