Your going to need alot more engine work to reach your 1000hp goal. Things like: 100% methanol fuel injection Grout filled block 12mm studs Probably $2500 worth of head work of aftermarket parts and machining/porting Motec or autronic A gt45 turbo twin plate clutch Fuel system to suite gearbox modified to suite Just to name a few. Not sure if serious? |

Why would you use methanol when ethanol is available. Not only can ethanol provide more power but you also have this to consider https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxd_CH2NIWE which is why methanol as a race fuel in the US is being fazed out. |

https://m.youtube.com/user/biglady112 Here are some videos of a few of things I have played with. How do you know I need more engine work? Pretty sure if you watch the video of my truck you will see I have the engine and supporting parts to make this goal. I have been doing this for 15 years. I still build and maintain an 8 second eagle talon. |

$66 a piece US. I have to order the coilover sleeves for the front and see what diameter the springs are in the set and order up a 500lb set for the front. The rears are 900lbs. A lot of spring. |

I will have pictures tomorrow. Today was tear down day. I tore down the 4G62 that came out of this car so we can use it another day. I also removed the stock fuel system. I removed the exhaust they had on there as well. Hoping I could solve my positive rear camber issue on the driver side I tore the rear brakes off the car hoping to find my problem. I did not find anything I could fix to correct it but, now I know I have to do some cutting and welding to correct it. It appears the rear axle is bent. I went ahead and moved forward and removed all of the rear brakes, lines and parking brakes. Doing so will force me to put a parachute on the car. Which I want to do anyway. While in the left rear drum, I did find one big problem. The wheel bearing had blown up some time ago. There was nothing left of the cage and inner housing. All the rollers had fallen out as well. I ran to NAPA and grabbed a new race and bearing, repacked and installed it before putting the wheel back on. The other thing I did today was remove the stock shifter base and arms from under the car. I have to go and get some shifter cables and base from a DSM as none of the Cordia stuff is compatible. So nothing exciting today. And I figure no one wants to see a pile of super dirty junk parts anyway. Tomorrow I am pulling the engine back out to do the final cutting in the engine bay for the new motor and transmission. I hope to have that finished and maybe get the engine back in there tomorrow as well. |
