Another thread to refurbish tail lights:

Some of my spares were very badly scratched and dull looking, make sure you give the light a good wash to remove all dirt from the inside, not just the outside (I used my pressure washer):

Use 600 grit dry to remove any large scratches or light swirls on the light, complete wet with 600 grit.

Once the light is dry check to make sure you have feathered any deep scratches...........continue with 1200 grit over the whole light.

Should look a little "dull" once completed:

At this point it's up to you, either nightshades or just clearcoat will bring back the colour. Just make sure you add layer of flexi prime first (Yes I did change tail light sides as I had this one ready to go) or you can spend hours polishing the plastic and trying to remove the residue from the embossing.

Tail light finalised and polished:

Nice work Andrew but you lost that tinted look, which really suits the car. I have mine off at the moment and in taking them off I damaged the rubber that sits between the light and the body, the one that fits over the bolts and cushions it a bit. Have you had this problem?

The tinted look is still there Simon, it's just the light in the pic, and now the light is clean and the bulb holder is not in place.

As for the seals, you can make them.....I used some 4mm black foam from Clarke rubber.....if you have an old one use it as a template.
