Hi Guys,
Found a HG Galant at the wreckers, grabbed its complete inlet manifold, rocker gear and power steering cooler..........just some additional parts for Bitza and the AC, for future development.

The rocker gear is "burnt" so it will need hot tanking, and the lash adjusters are buggered.

All cleaned (thing was FULL of oil) and painted, have also fitted the VR4 pressure regulator at the end of the fuel rail for turbo application.

Just a few things I'm currently working on. :)

I don't Koray............but the rocker gear will help with the "unbearable" tick when hot.........even though I have closed the tappet clearance down.

TIP: Rather than pay the astronomical price for injector base seals, just use some 10mm oil cooler hose and cut to size.........works perfectly for all MPI systems including VR4.

Are they the 1.8 litre dohc 4g61 (I think)
I went to buy one of those blocks, ripped head off. Massive hole in the piston. So I didn't lol

HG Galant runs the SOHC 8 valve 2 litre 4G63.

if you go the 96 to 98 verada lash adjusters there metal , most of the others have plastic on them and break easy

there should be a ton of those motors at the wreckers these days too

That's nice to know Travis, the old ones have the piston hanging out of them as the plastic is broken, only one survived.......are the Verada ones still available new?......cost?

you could buy a KE KF verada for $400 these days

yes very expensive , and I see so many people change them due to putting the wrong oil in the car , same with the 4g63 aswell

Well...........have cleaned the rocker gear with a $12 can of oven cleaner....here are the results:

Because the rocker gear was so DIRTY some parts didn't make it.

this ad states is 4g63 but the pic looks like 62.
