Has anybody ever noticed that the standard cordia temperature gauge actually "moves upwards" when the lights and the thermo fans turn on?

This has "pissed me off" as the gauge at night is showing 3/4 in traffic!.....but during the day is fine!

This is not a problem with my VR4 conversion.

So......I have looked at putting an inline diode between the 12volt positive and the sensors earth.....pretty sure it's a back EMF problem.

Has anybody else had this trouble?

This is what I have done:

Not too sure if it's the 5 volt source (as the sensor is close to the dissy) but im yet to fit...........what a pain!

Hmmmm I've never had the issue to be honest.

Wonder if that will fix it. 0.o..

I did fit the cluster..........stupid me got the diode the wrong way around causing the fuse to blow!

Anyway.......the gauge still moves but not as much......when the fans come on (with full electrical load) the gauge shows just under half. :)
