was just wondering if the usergroups thing works??

:idea: i would be good if we could create groups for each state of Aust. even though this site isn't just Aust poeple. To be able to send msgs to the group (state) about cruises..... just a thought...

He's not asking for state sections. He's asking for a usergroup for each state so people can PM entire states.

It's a good idea but depends on whether you can set up public groups that people can sign themselves up to. e.g. we have the mod group but kham has to put you in that, you can't just sign up to it.

I'll post in the mod section for kham to have a look and see what he thinks. I reckon it's a goer.

State based usergroups have now been created. Users can now join the group of their Australian state by going to User Control Panel > Usergroups.
