Not that ill ever get one, do they sound realistic?

Does it make the same noise every time or can it vary according to throtlle or somethin?

how don't they???

if BOV's only magnify noise why can you get different sounding BOV's?

Trust Type RS was designed to create that particular flutter noise.

thus why they are so popular.

anyway why would you want a flutter when you can have the HKS SSQ BOV sound, get the purple rings and you will have the best sounding blow off around

from memory there were 3 preset BOV sounds, Flutter SSQ and swoosh.

l'm also pretty sure the volume could be adjusted, it sounded realistic.

Ahhh, the great BOV debate starts again!!

i think it depends on both BOV and turbo system. different configs on both sides for different sounds

i don't speak from experience it just seems logical

omfg, when l bought my WRX l wanted a flutter noise so badly that l did endless research on this topic.

The flutter noise can be created easily, either a Trust Type RS BOV or a larger turbo as per Talius car,

now, if you own a 200sx the flutter noise comes stock with the car (for some reason they vent to atmosphere), due the turbo setup, just chuck a pod filter on and wolah, it will spike enough to make a loud flutter noise.

same thing goes for any other car, there are so many things that can replicate the flutter noice that its not funny, from turbos to bovs to air induction anyone can achieve a flutter on their car, just not as loud as talius's unless you have a trust type RS.

personally l got over the flutter and got myself a HKS SSQ BOV for my wrx, add a APS Cold Air Induction system and you have flutter with a SSQ blow off, l think l'm gonna go back to flutter land with the sti

flutter is made when the throttle body is snapped shut and the compressed air bounces of the turbo fins

you DO NOT need a bov to make flutter but yes it does magnify it..runing higher boost and some nice high flowing piping will magnify also for obvious reasons.

and you think tailus flutter is orgasmic wait till i charge me battys on my camera.

l agree 100% with what your post, just letting ppl know there are other ways to get the flutter, l just watched the talus clip again and it is much more high pitched than the Trust BOV makes

l also want to see more of that cyclone car, that burnout was wicked

bbinskin s14s come stock with a recirlulating bov...
no bov sounds like a flutter... not even the type RS. I can pick the type RS from a mile away.
and in my opinion... the SSQ is the worst sounding bov i have ever heard... if i wanted to hear from a umpires whistle i would have gone to a footy ground.

Steves right RS type sounds like just a normal BOV to me

Its not a BOV that makes the flutter sounds its a air filter that makes it depending on what type of air filter you got

as for the SSQ bov i got the HKS SSQ (not copy model) they sound wicked :D to be honest. But they sound better when the air filter goes and the SSQ goes off same time :D

exactly, ssq blow off with cold air induction flutter from a massive pod is the best sound you can get, though l am sure the type RS makes the flutter
