Well after I spent ages fitting a VR4 motor and going to the trouble of fitting the gearbox as well I have decided to do something different.

Currently in the process of finding a 4G92 1600cc mivec engine. Once I find one for a good price and get rid of the 4G63 the project will begin.

Looking forward to N/A power. If i get bored with the power the mivec head bolts onto the 4G93t block so i can go turbo mivec later on if i want.

This sounds good.. but it is very hard to find a 4G92, especially the older ones where the timing side is on the passenger side..
there have been a few CE lancers/Mirages that have done this conversion but with the later model mivec 4G92's..
This will also be alot more expensive than the vr4 route, why didn't you just use a VR4 motor with a Cordia box??

If you go ahead with the project post a build up!..
btw a forum member from malaysia is selling a mivec cordia but with a later model 4G92. (transmission on drivers side).

Finding the engine was easy and quite cheap hardest part was getting loom and ecu. Have to order one from New Zealand.

Had cordia gearbox fitted to vr4 but I wanted cable shifted box so fitted vr4 box as i had one lying around.

Sold the white car and box and motor are fitted in the red car.

nothing special about fitting the VR4 box just cut the chassis rail (need to remove a section about an inch high by about 4 inches long) drill new holes for the gearbox mount to attach to the chassis rail (sits about an inch or so further back towards the firewall then the cordia box mount) and i had to grind away part of the gearbox housing to clear the powersteering rack.
