Your car: MY car? hmmm a black hunk of metal that moves once every year
slightly below the exhaust its a machined square patch on the block, you can see it but may require a torch and degreaser

Whilst getting defected sucks ass you have already said you know the shocks are fudged, you are leaking gearbox oil, it is too loud, the rims are too big, it has an illegal engine in it. This shit happens a lot in Adelaide.

Contact Brad - Evo85 on the forum. He has got his Cordia engineered, it cost him a couple grand + required mods and a lot of headaches, but if you really really love your Cordia, then it might just be worth it.

being engineered wont stop you getting a canary... just makes getting it off alot easier if you can prove you havnt modified it anymore since it has been certified...

I know a much cheaper option, just move to Melbourne :). No engineers certificate required here!

My old man and I have done many vr4 conversions in the past and never had a problem with Vicroads, mainly because of this 200cc limit. They allow this limit for rebuilds and such. My car even passed an EPA compliance certificate.

That being said, who honestly ever gets done for having a vr4 in their cordia or any mitsu for that matter? IMO not many. The main people getting done are the ones who modify their cars in such away that the police have something to pick on. Do up your car right and it is very unlikely you will get in any trouble.

For example, if you have a pod filter and an intercooler you will get a very nasty EPA notice next time they pop your bonnet. Whereas if you only have an intercooler (which is all you really need without being hektik) you will save yourself from such hassles. Same goes with boost controllers and/or external wastegates. Guys believe it or not, there are ways to boost a vr4 without a controller

going for inspection 2nd of sept
wish me luck
im just gonna go there and see what they find
not gonna do much but remove the turb timer.
i leave boost controller on to prove its not a bov.

i for see quite a large list
least then know what up for
$150 though for first inspection
think $75 for second

if list is too long car will be sheded for years
but still looked after.

I'm confused. Why would you waste your money in such away? Going for inspection with very little effort to actually pass.
