After finding out how unsafe my cordia was bodywise.
i decided to get another rolling shell, so my parts engine etc don't go to waste

Had to take the wheels on mine
Image

Mean while my old ones sits on these rims (so still mobile), pepperpots look horrible on cordias lol

My mission if i choose to accept it is.....
take this
Image
and dump it in here
Image
while fixing all the things that were wrong with my old one along the way, hopefully :P

Yeah not too sure have to take few things off it, dunno if be much left of it.
see what happens aye.
yeah i love the gsr siggy rims, i just don't think they suit cordias to well.
they just miss the vr4 calipers too, only just though.lol.
but siggy turbo rims and wherret rims are better looking.

The rest of the car is so perfect that you may as well spray the bay to suit, especially if you plan on keeping her for a while. Make sure you get it done properly though, wouldn’t want a can job on such an immaculate body.

Another bonus whilst you’re at all this would be to check your engine for oil leaks (or other problems it may have), as this is the perfect opportunity to sort out any possible issues.

If your using the engine from your blue VR4 I can tell you it has a new headgasket, stem seals, top end seals. One of the headbolts is beginning to round over, customer didn't want to replace it. The headgasket is a std type, so it will be fine for anything under 15psi obviously as long as your timing and fuel is good.

May i ask how long ago this was done?
and was it done by adam?
or person before?
so no bottom end work then?
yeah was running about 13psi with the GFB boost controller
and adam said got timing stuff done(i ithink) in the add
but the belt is really loose a squeaky sound at idle,
and loud tapping cold starts? Valve?
and when first start up alternator light comes on and stays on for few minutes, maybe longer until rev a little bit
then comes good? Brushes?

also do you know if heads been changed, looks alot newer then rest of engine?
Thanks for info mate. It's pain when you buy a car and don't know its history.

At least paint it a red that suits............surely you can find an aerosol that colour........it's only the base coat, great for people who can't paint.

I think paint the bay a gloss black, then get the correct paint code of the exterior and colour match the main items like Rocker cover, manifold highlights etc.
As for the work, no bottom end work was done, I did the head work after it was checked for flatness and cracks. I would say I put a new timing kit through it too, but I can't remember. As for the squeal, it's probly just a drive belt. I reckon it was atleast a year ago I worked on it last. Ther person who owned it before was Andre/Drdre on here.
