Gday guys. As you can probably already tell, this is my 1st post. On here because I am entering a borrowed Cordia in the Wakefild 6hr with a mate of mine, under team SAU:NSW. Funnily enough I think there will be only one skyline in the team...With my mates car undergoing an engine swap, me selling my race car last year and the other one that was going to join us killed an engine. So anyway. Being that I have no idea what to look for on here, Does anyone track their GSL Cordia? If so what should I look out for? Do they have a habit of breaking Drivline bits, clutches or anything like that? Any recommended brake pads for the front? We will be doing 20-30min sessions at a time, so the car will see a lot of time on track. Hope you can help. Regards Andrew |

Also, I'm of the understanding that certain DOHC 4G63's go straight in...but which ones? |

we would need to know a little more about the car , if its stock , I would change all the the oils and brake pads ( bendex GTC , or EBC reds ) , + just do the clutch so you know it will last the day without slipping otherwise they are pretty good , if the car is in good condition Im trying to build a track cordia myself |

Cool, pads, fluids etc are all sorted and the clutch is fine for what we need (Plus not enough spare time to replace it) Do you know of any good spots to mount the harness, or do I need to fab up an Harness bar? One more thing, is there any camber/caster adjustment in the front end? Thanks Andrew |

Welcome mate, post up some pics for us. Answering your question, from factory caster and toe are adjustable. |

Cheers mate, I will do, should be bringing the car back to my house tomorrow, so will get some pics then. We decided to bite the bullet and buy the car, so we can prep it properly for this event, then have aims to get our cage builder to throw a cage in it and rally it with some sort of 4G twin cam motor. Cheers A |

If you are after a twin cam 2l the 6bolt 4g63T from a galant vr4 is the way to go! |

Cool thats what I thought. Might end up with the 4G93 twincam as they are cheaper to buy, and really dont want to throw mega $$$ at this thing if we can help it. Is there any known oil surge issues with the 4G62? If so any quick fixes without going custom sump/Dry sump? Was planning on over filling the sump by .5-1L like we do on circuit RB's and JZ's |

If you don’t want to spend the big bucks then the 4g63 would be the better option IMO as the Vr4 is tuff as nails from the factory. When both are compared in standard form, the vr4 can make heaps more power (safely) than the 4g93 due to its much beefier rods. |

That's good to know Will only make 300hp at the crank due to (more than likely) needing an inlet restrictor, but restictor engines are very hard on components. Thanks for the heads up |
