i wasnt sure were else to post this so i thought meh ill post it here, wen i got my cordia it was lacking power ... really badd so i thought fudge it so yesterday i smashed in the cat converter and OMG so much fudging power , it kicks u back into ur seat just thought id post this here for people who lack power to do the same its just amazing

Hmmm that is called backpressure. If you have an increase in power when increasing the backpressure it probably means your motor is lacking compression. Which is not a good thing.
Also, Restricting the exhaust flow in a turbo car is not a very smart idea.....

cat's are to stop polusion u can still run a car without a cat , its just illegal .... wen i checked my cat converter it was blocked to the shit , u couldnt even see through the holes wen holding it up to light thats how blocked it was , wen i cracked it out u should of seen the gunk .... my mate also runs a turbo without a cat converter and he isnt haven any problems at all . he was the one that told me to get rid of it as it was my problem

Did you crush your cat or punch the guts out of it? If it's the latter that's not going to increase backpressure it will decrease it.

Just saw your post, def not going to increase pressure!! Will relieve pressure and flow easier. Common mod to cars to get away with not having a restrictive cat but not get burnt by the cops.

na, all good, and if there is minimal to no external damage to the cat your not likely to get fined for not having a cat as well

Yeah when you said you smashed it i assumed you crushed it. As i said increasing back pressure is bad - Hollowed out cat however = less backpressure (good) which is why you feel more power
