A friend of mine used to do it in a turbo converted 1.5 litre Laser and said it was awesome fun and pretty cheap. The Cordia should be quite good compared to some modern cars as it is quite small, only saying this as The hill climb course in SA is quite narrow, yours may be different.

Obviously it will be under max load alot of the time so a large inter-cooler and a good tune should stop things going bang. Depending on what your clubs rules are as to what class you will be in but its about having fun and from all accounts a pretty cheap way of doing it.

Best bet would be to give your car a run and see what its weaknesses are and there is nothing like a racetrack or closed course to bring them out.

I run my cordia at a couple of hill climbs, good suspension is a must, good relability, good tyres i use Federal 595 RSR semi slicks, I have tried Advan AO50's and AD08's and federal hangs on a lot better and works better straight of the trailer
Whats good about hill climbs is no one is there trying to beat you
Don't get me wrong there is season standing but its all good fun,
It is all about setting quick times and then trying to best your own times,
At the moment i am about 4-6 seconds slower than the evo IX and X's on the tighter Grafton Hill climb
And about 3 seconds slower at the faster Kempsey Track which has alot faster corners
The Club cars are a totally different story cause I am about 8-10 seconds slower than them.
But all in all it is about haveing fun and getting out there and being able to rip shit up with out worrying about Flashing Blue and Red lights in the rear view mirror.
I am probably going to the hill climb at bathurst for the Mountain Straight Hillclimb and supersrint next month which should be good as i never been there before and it is a fast challenging track.
So get out there and have some Fun

That's wicked, I was thinking that the ride would play a big part also the rubber used,

Are u running small wheels ??
Is ur cordia set up stock??
Turbo, boost, cooler??
They are some amazing times to be billing out only 3 seconds slower then the eve x good work mate,
Bathurst would be amazing, I would love to race there 1 day

Sounds like it would be fun

Good work mate, I am still thinking of trading up for a vr4 cordia as the old 1.8 would be fun however not enough kick to do what I want
