was quoted 600 dollares for 3 inch exhaust with 3 inch dumb pipe . im not sure if the price is good or not. i have 2.5 inch or close to it atm ,i love the sound it makes. im thinking is it really worth getting 3 inch exhaust? looking around ebay i saw muffler tip silencer. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Burn-Tip-Sta ... SwLpdW810A has anyone ever used this does it work? will it make car quieter ? |

$600 is good for mild steel, an absolute bargain for stainless. I paid $800 for mild steel not including dump pipe. That was 3" but press bent so more like 2.5-2.75". I wouldn't bother with that exhaust tip. If you want it quieter just get a resonator or two flanged in. |

A custom 2.5 inch- 3 inch dump pipe will cost approx $250-$350. So the other odd 350 bux for a 3 inch mandrel bend exhaust is not to bad. Just remember, the standard exhaust size is 2 1/4 inch, going to 2.5 inch is barely nothing. Going 3 inch for a 2 litre with mods is the ideal setup. I highly suggest you get a custom dump pipe made, as you will get extra power. If you decide to start 100% from turbo back, i can assist you. You can start with the flange plate: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=17833 |

update: so far its been good drive it every day to work no problems till now. well 1 problem is fixed the gear shifter. problem 2 now is my battery light it stays on once i start the car. it only goes off when i rev it a bit. yesterday going to work for some reason engine stopped , i was half way to work. managed to turn key and it started back up to find idle @ almost hitting zero . had to hold hand break and keep revs @ 1k or it would die out. after work or going home started car and was fine back to normal. i have no idea why it caused me dramas in morning. about the bat light staying on ,so i been busy looking for a alternator. i assumed is alternator problem so i replaced it to find it does the same thing |

There might be some crap on the sensor and receiver, I have cleaned these in the past with contact cleaner, just be sure to go carefully and let completely dry. |

i used wax & grease remover at the time to clean it. had to remove sensor in order to clean the bottom . it had a lot of dirt ,placed sensor back never dropped or damage wires. very strange 1 minute car runs good next Air Flow Sensor playing up. |

Is the rubber seal on the "gold" part in good condition? If this can bypass less air will flow through the meter. |
