Leaded petrol obviously doesn't exist now, 98 unleaded won't kill it, will keep detonation at bay for the standard unit.

whats the best fuel to use now?

I would stay with 98 unleaded, you may be able to use 95 in the colder months.

about my exhaust im getting pissed with noise honestly i need a muffler.
is ok if i just drive it on weekends but every day no good.
i think is just me getting old.
i like to hear turbo spin and feel the drag also the radio.
the way it is no way.
turbo cars were meant to be quiet, if i want loud i would get v8.

I have a 2.5 inch (after the CAT which will reduce noise) with resonator (hot dog) and turbo muffler on the AC........quiet as a mouse.

exactly .
i got a hot dog put in before and i got straight through muffler clamped to my 2.5 inch exhaust.
so i'll be getting super quiet muffler clamped to exhaust .
if i take it to the drags i'll just swap mufflers.

update.

car starts and runs well but on full acceleration as turbo cuts in @ about 10 psi it has 1 cough or could be backfire
as it stops the full boost.
im not sure if my boost gauge is working properly .
some times it doesn't reach 10 psi and i get cough.
any thoughts?
thanks

How new are the spark plugs & what are they gapped to? Might not be the solution but worth checking out if you haven't already.

Check your wastegate.........had the same problem with the AC........boost will build so quickly that the MAP sensor will cut ignition before full boost is reached, you may have to "unwind" it a little.

Yes, easy way to tell is the boost gauge goes all the way to the top causing the EFI to cut ignition.
