Could probably increase power with a bigger turbo...........but the EVO engine (7 bolt) suffers from crank walk problems........hopefully this engine is OK?

I am trying Fernando, builds always cost more than you expect but you need a bit of luck as well , finding the right parts.

Thanks for giving me heads up on that issue Andrew. College of knowledge 

I did my homework and what I can see it does happen in some 7 bolt engines but the issue seems to be more hyped up than it is.

There is a lot of evo’s with no such issues, then again you need luck with anything  Let’s hope that I won’t have such problems.

I spoke to Trent and he told me that engine was rebuild 6000 km ago by a well known shop in Sydney ,he said engine is A1

Sometime you must have faith in people 

This car was owned by smokingcordia and then sold off to Trent.

Smokingcordia spend a fortune on it after wizard build it.

Apparently this power is made on safe tune, turbo is not stock.

It was build by Steve Murch (NZ - MSE motorsport) it is TD05 20g.

RAMHORN style manifold

Overall I am very happy with everything , I don’t know many cordias with evo engines.

It is a bit different.

On the weekend I’ve picked up that evo 7 intercooler and and piping.

I was also given a evo 7 radiator, when I went to pick it up I was expecting something used but what I was give is a brand new
Evo 7 radiator , still in plastic! Thanks Edmund, legend.

Here are some pics of the parts and engine setup.

The RAMHORN manifold is the same as mine, sort of..........mine has the external wastegate pipe, they flow very well.

I bet the owner had to shorten it, mine did not fit when purchased............it's to suit an Eclipse........not quite the dimension for the cordia bay.

No idea Andrew, Travis just mentioned that due to weight of the turbo they can crack
at the bottom, I ll have to get my mate a welder to make a custom bracket for extra support.

All in good time, we have another 500 hours of bodywork

Update

Wizards old cordia is getting picked up today and will be here in a week.

Most of the welding at the front end has been done, the reinforcement
plates have to be welded next.

Getting there.

There was another member on here years ago looking for wizards yellow cords, but don't know if he found it or whatnot. Obviously not eh. That car has some history. I remember Chris Meek telling me a few stories about the guy who had it before wizard, the old bloke who put the evo engine in it. I bought a 62 rocker cover off him once. Funny old bloke.

There is a thread on this forum detailing what wizard was doing to it. I remember he had clearance issues with the turbo/radiator. He then sold it...went overseas, came back, and was searching to buy it back. It's great you've found it. Let us know what condition the body is in when it turns up.

Yeah that is interesting, I remember this car and Wizard from way back..

Even smokingcordia..

If they could talk imagine the stories.

I've been told this car whooped quite a few cars over the years.

Let's hope the running gear will do the same for mine :)

Found this photo of my my best mate, the original owner of fwdjet.

This was taken over 14 years ago, as you can see he is working on my cordia.

It's funny that I am now working on his car after so many years.

He is going to flip when he seems me after so many years and with his car...

Cannot wait.
