Holden is Australian branch of GM that makes Holden.

VZ with a chev badge doesn't make it a chevy . It's still a Holden :)

It's like rebadging mx5's to miatas (or how ever it's spelt)
Country's should just stick to the name there given unless imported
I love the look of the actual chevy badge, but would never in a million years rebadge something to another country's badge.
If they wanted a Chevy. They should import one lol
I'm honestly a fan of debadging:)

Known for autos I hear. There's a Magna solara at my work. Came in due to not selecting gears. Got dumped here. Gonna go wreckers soon. Such a clean example tho. Not a mark on it. It's a nice red. Electrics. Such a shame

Your car: 1984 AB cordia turbo
Well my story .
Friend of mine bought 1978 model gts orange with 2 black strips in front bonnet
Had rust in every panel.
Interior was like brand new black vinyl looked great.

I think it was in 1993 he brings car over to my house he was very proud
He bought his 1st car ,at the time he was learning to be a detetive in police force.
Because he loved car so much I offered to fix car
and so we we did every weekend for 12 months.
All rust was cut removed. All panels where paint stripped and file finished.
There was very small amount neaky places like under front screen where mold goes.
Places where I couldn't get file.
Got all paint materials from work.
I used standox 2k at the time it was one of the best paints in market.
I got red brown 2 pack etch about 2 liters, hifill 4litres,Spray on polyester filler
4x1 liter tins The hard part was for my friend to choose a color
He choose dark green pearl a Honda color
Anyway car was completely stripped every panel was of .
The inner guards, rails ,was all painted in black.
Anyway once car was all prepared ready to paint
He drove car all stripped no lights no windows .
Panels were only help by couple screws LOL those were the days.
Drove from blacktown to cabramatta smash repairs
At midnight sitting on a milk creat LOL.
I was a good worker boss trusted me I had keys for shop
I was the only painter there had a laborer and apprentice painter
Helping me it was the best shop I ever worked. I was treated like
Family anyway we worked throw the night removing all
Panels as I like to paint in and out one hit
Had no masking cause all interior was removed
Only engine bay got masked.
This was done Friday night had to paint bake the car put panels on car and
Get the hell out before boss or anyone walk in.
Didn't want anyone to know .I could have asked the boss he would of said OK.
Them I would be owing him favors.unfortunatly when it comes to owing a favor
Its not just 1 they will expect all the time if you know what I mean.
Anyway I managed to get it all done with lots of spare time.
He drove car back to my house reason we were mad driving car all stripped is cause
His cop and cops look the other way if you know what I mean.
Car looked great only had 1 nib on bonnet got it buffed the next day .
Car had very small orange peel and was dead straight.
We put car back together but we had problems adjusting gaps on doors.
Ended up using panelbeater to adjust the gaps I think he charged 100 bucs
Those days was a lot money.
He took car to his home and never heard from him till 5 years later
Some friend he is tells me rust coming back so I drove to his house a good hour away.
When I get there his got blue plastic tapoland covering car I said to him
is this how you been keeping car he says yes has no garage.
Rust was on inside car the dogleg joints was pretty bad.
Outside the car was good just lack of gloss looked like acrylic.
He said the 1st week he drove the car around .The engine had problems lots of knocking
Eventually engine seized and car been left for 5 years out weather.
I said to him if he wants to sell it?He said no he wants it fixed.
I said to take it to panelshop and I left I was pissed off.
Never heard from him again.
I took a lot of pictures with old camera unfortunately I don't have a scanner

Travis, it looks like toyota chaser from the back a bit.

Those magna's are not bad cars, they would do 460 km if looked after.

Fernando, hehe made me laugh about adjusting gaps on doors on old cars.

I know exactly what you mean, it's not easy, been there.

I hate sad endings.
I'm slowly learning that lesson myself. But Us honest car people find it hard not to help a fellow friend out. Hopefully he comes to his wits one day
