Thanks mate, they are very nice wheels but there is an issue.

Had them fitted the other day and they do not look the right size with the car that has a full body kit.

See below.

They are good for now as it helps me move the car around and I can use them to pass RWC, but they will have to go at some point, they look too small.

The original wheels with that shiny silver don't look right either, the colour of the car is strong so I have to be careful how to match it all up so it doesn't look stupid.

I had one of the original 17's painted black just to see what it looks like and I must say it really suites the car.

I will have them powder coated in satin flat black and see how that comes out.

Managed to replace that gasket on the intake and there so no more fuel leaks.

Also the gasket that was on there was of incorrect material so coolant was getting in the manifold and I am guessing, causing the white smoke.

Still need to fit the exhaust before I can check that no more white smoke is coming out,it's too loud.

Also I've been buffing the roof, it's coming up nicely but needs more work , see the difference and took of the wipers and all that plastic stuff, very dirty and full of leaves but the good news is that.. no rust anywhere.

See the link to intake manifold, one of my mates believes that intake is stuffed and no matter
what gasket I put on there , it won't stop the water as there is not enough meat left on there.

I think is right. Your thoughts?

How is the casting so deformed?

Might be time for Galant MPI

Who the hell knows mate, I got the car like that.

Even the wiring is a complete mess, it runs but wires are everywhere.

They got that aftermarket hornet central locking system on the car ( it doesn't work) but the amount of wires used to connect it, it's a joke.

The only reason I found this out is when replacing the fuel lines, I had to take off the planum
to get to injector clamps. It's good that we noticed it now, engine is most likely ok.

I have a spare dash engine with original intake ECI , I will use that going forward.

Which model of Galant model would you recommend? Will it fit the dash engine?

Took off the wipers and all the plastic bits around them.

Last night cleaned them up and got them ready for paint.

The other option for that intake manifold is to by pass the coolant line that goes into the intake.

I understand the only reason the coolant was designed to go through there is to warm it up in colder climate.

That way I can still use the intake, it's worth a shot.

Over the weekend managed to pick this up.

Complete 1.8 Top end .

Turbo is Tc06, it's been high flowed, head has been rebuild with an aftermarket cam , exhaust manifold is mint, no cracks.

At the moment I won't need this but it is a good idea to put it away when I decide to build a nice 1.8.

It also came with this custom made air filter, there is an airflow meter inside it.

Yes.

Por15 and Sw-2 on the top.

You can drop the car in the Atlantic ocean, it wouldn't rust :)

Anyone know where I can buy a new side engine mount?

Rear spoiler is all done and ready to go back on.

Didn’t have much time last week to work on it.

I bought this yesterday for parts. It is rough.

Top of the engine is missing and the block has a hole on the side.

There are plenty of parts on it that I will need and what I don’t need I will put it away.

This car has a sunroof which I believe is not very common to see.

Vin states AB .

It comes with power windows , power steering and air con.

Suspension looks all new , with pedders springs, new bushings and new engine mounts ( which I need) etc

Tyres almost new.

Brakes look bigger too and they are in much better condition than what I have on mine.

It also Comes with full exhaust and an intercooler.

The funny thing is that I used to see this car back in 2003 in Ferntree Gully, always parked outside the Village green.

The guys must have worked there, same old two tone blue and silver.

Thanks Travis.

This was Pete's old car.

It was featured in fast 4's at some point too.
