1st 60, 2nd 90 ish (could probly go more), 3rd 120, 4th 160-70 (could probly go more, see my weak arse excuse for 5th gear!), 5th shittyarse me has not had the guts to find out. I got a vernier (adjustable) cam wheel and mild cam, stock boost, I think she gets there a little quicker than a stock setup. I don't drive it like this all the time cos I'm a wimp and like my money to stay in my pocket and not the Mechanic's.

good ol cordia too scary to take flat out. I'd imagine many of us don't have tyres rated to much over 210kays anyway.

Mine:

1st - 50-60 (something like that, always been watching my taco in 1st cos it flies up so fast lol)
2nd - 100-110 (110 @ 7500rpm  )
3rd - 160-170 (would've gone higher but i had no need to push it when i did it)
4th & 5th - dunno above 170ish, havn't had the chance. Needle was still rising about 10kmh per second in 4th

Im runnning (or was) an AA 1.8l sohc with a wastegate-seized tc06 (therefore running full boost lol).

My problem with the speed test i did is that the lights infront of me decided they wanted to turn red

The next problem was stopping in time as they were only bout 200 meters ahead. Foot hard on the brakes and to my horror i could see brake pad compound flying past my window and the passanger one too.

Got up the next morning and decided to see what had happened and found out the pads had failed decintegrated and there was only bout 50cent piece size of pad left on both fronts.

Me decided "Time for new brakes"

Havent tried it again as i lost my licence bout a month or so later

Hey,

I put this file in a thread that was sticky a while ago .... also allows you to work out what tyre/rim size you can use and still keep the same rolling radius:

i used to have 240kay rated ones, but sold em with my rims, isn't entirely a bad thing, discourages high speed runs :p. clocked it in 4th? fark, must've been pullin like 8grand!

With a 4 speed supershift for maximum performance you want to change gears at following points...

1st... 40kmh

2nd... 80kmh

3rd... 120kmh

4th... 160khm

SUPASHIFT!... Goes about 200 if you are 1600 carby turbo, if not, about 170 on a LONG straight, or 180 if you have a LARGE tail wind...

are you using a different g/box a1091156? coz a cordia gearbag wil be pulling very close to 7k by 200kays, unless your speeds is like, 60k/h out :/

I took my baby off the clock in 4th recently (on a controlled stretch of track, on land that I own, at the bottom of the sea)..... but I've got the 5th overdrive actuated fulltime..

She had a bit left in her though, was lovin it ;) I *estimate* a top speed of about 250-260 but I just wonder if anyone has the power to push that 5th through that kind of wind resistance...

Anyone here who can *honestly* say they have taken their cordia to a speed where it just would NOT go any faster? Details... ;)

Astaroth.
