My car is going in next week to get a new bottom end and was goining to ask the mechanic if he could remove the balance shafts. Is a common thing to do with a 4g62 or has mitsi put them there for a goos reason? also what goes in the place of the ld balance shafts? Any advice would be helpful as ill prob have to do most myself. What are the benefits also?

You have to get the bottom end fully balanced if you want to remove the balance shafts, in which case it won't vibrate like a bitch.
