Just wondering does it matter which way around i wire up AB injector plugs?
Wires all seem identical, no apparent negative marking, and i didn't label the wires when i cut them.

Also does anyone know the part numbers for AB and AC alternator regulators.... 90 amp and others.

Car is completely back together, probably get her going in the next few days and drive it home if I'm lucky....
She turned over nicely, but could be stale fuel, it's has been sitting there for over two years.

Still dont know if there is a correct way to wire the plugs... Does aaaaaaaaanyone know????

Cheers Jim. Had another crack today, and the injectors seem to be ticking over at least, but still no go.
Unfortunately i seem to have other problems now too, no spark, at all. :P
Coil is fine. Replaced damaged wires, fuses, checked plugs, leads, rotor, earths, etc, etc, so distributor???
Went to Repco today but they don't stock ignitors for the GSR, nor could he order them in apparently.
Ran out of time so i guess it wont be running any time soon at this rate...
Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated at this point, as the Haynes manual SUCKS BALLS!

PS Repco bloke said he didn't have the regulators or even alternators available for order either...

Think I'll buy a nice push bike instead. LoL

Your car: MY car? hmmm a black hunk of metal that moves once every year
cordia doesn't have an igniter as such, try swapping the e-101 gorge?

or make sure u didn't bump the plug out while playing with the injectors, doesn't have to slip out much for it to fail.

No i didnt think of that T... I think i have a spare, but im not sure of the condition. Im trying not to rob parts off the other cars to make this one go, because i want em all running by the end of the year.

The ignitor is inside the distributor according to the book, or is it called something else?
Ignition module? Like i said, haynes manual. LoL

Might end up stealing the ignition stuff from another car...?? Little bro just installed a range rover setup into his 4age conversion, for better spark, seems to work well.

Hmm i don't know about that one cordia dizzys don't, at least the gsr don't have points like the old style dizzy but it may have something to do with the 3 wire plug that leads into the dizzy cap. check for spark at the dizzy, then the coil and the contacts on the coil its self if nothing from the coil (the + and - wires to either side of it), then i would think the problem is earlier like the e-101,

doing the bosh conversion is good, i cant remember how much it costs tho. there is a FAQ on how to.
doing so eliminates the e-101 in a fashion.

edit, also make sure that 3 wire plug doesn't have a broken wire, if it has a broken wire the coil wont spark either. irc
i have had one snap off while driving was hard to find at first because it was still making partial contact until the plug was moved and the wire became obvious. initial diagnosis was e-101 because it also stops the tachometer from bouncing.

another thing i thought of, is i think one of these symptoms stop the injectors from pulsing. but im not 100% on that one.

Cheers big ears! PS you were right about the igniter, i was looking at the wrong diagram, i think i'm dyslexic or something, perhaps a little retarded... heheh
Also explains why Repco doesnt stock the part! LoL Could have saved myself some time and embarassment by reading the manual properly the first time.

The polarity of the injector wiring doesn't matter.

I'm not sure what you are asking. The standard ab/ac alternator uses an internal regulator and can output 45A. Are you asking for the regulator part number or another alternator that can output 90A?

The E101 is the ignitor for the Cordia.

Thanks for the reply! I took an alternator to the auto-elec and he couldnt tell me which regulator i needed, for whatever reason... he just wanted to sell me a reco for 300 dollars.... no thanks mate!
I'm only after the part number for the standard 65amp cordia alternator now, (as the 90 amp didnt fit the mounts.... (to wide)), so i cant use that i guess, although it would have been nice.
I have a few alternators i wanted to rebuild, reg part number would be excellent if you have them please? It's this alternator im using;

PS At the risk of annoying anyone any further, I don't s'pose you know which bearings they run by any chance??

Thanks again Coop1er.

Good to have it home at last though! :D

PS I've updated the photo of the alternator in my previous post, didn't realise you couldn't read the writing on it, soz.

Which red one??? I have 4 red ones. LoL Yeah I still have her, but im not supposed to drive until next year sometime, so she only gets a run down the back-roads every now and then. The grey one needs all the front panels replaced after hitting a kangaroo and my step dad moving it with a tractor not so carefully. Heheh It was my first Cordia, so i might keep it for the collection, i'm sentimental like that. Feels weird driving it compared to the other cars though. I'll PM you about some other issues the car is having...
