Is it hard to install the ecu, dizzy and coil packs? Also what needs to be done regarding the MPI, like does the ports match or do i need to get them to match???

S15 t28?

If so, with decent boost could easily see more, why not go a 16g? I have an immaculate one if interested.

In all honesty though, get yourself a vr4. It will make similar power to the combo you mentioned when stock.

It's an s14 series 2 t28. How good in comparison? I was thinking maybe like bitza had to go t3/t4? What's the best option?

mate, i would be just keeping your t28 setup, get the MPI running and get a bit of headwork done and a cam if you can afford it.
then if your still not happy you can start playing around.... but shit starts to get expensive quick!
keep in mind though, 150 odd kw in a light FWD is pretty fun :D

as for how hard is it to install the gear..... its not really too hard, but everything has to be setup and wired right. If your not really sure, best to just take it to your tuner and get them to wire it in, can save a lot of headaches!

What size cam do you think would be good for my set up?

Im really considering the t3/t4 turbo like bitza, bitza had a 280 degree cam shaft. Im not sure about what size cam works with what set up?

why you want 280 cams? Go something more mild that will actually make a diff. Those really lump cams are more suited for the heavily modified cars.

Get some engine work happening, get your 1.8 out to 2L+, port and polish, bigger dump pipe etc etc.

Spoke to my machine shop and he said to go a 260-264 grind for a cam which should kick in at about 3000-3300rpm and prob finish off at about 6500rpm which will still suit the t3/t4 turbo i want to put on...

A 272 cam will give you enough valve overlap to "spool" the turbo at low revs........as long as you don't over rev the engine the overlap won't become "excessive" causing your boost to escape out the exhaust.

My machine shop said he can get my cam re-grined to what i want for $150. Sound good?

Or a replacement is better?

A regrind is OK.........they will remove material to allow for longer duration, but the lift will remain the same.........you run into trouble when they need to be welded and hard faced to increase valve lift.

If it's a "cheap" weld/grind the cam will eventually fail........plus you will need to change springs to ensure they don't bind under full cam lift.

Depends on what the grind is..........my 280 degree cam went from a valve clearance of 1.5 inlet to 0.4, the exhaust was 2.5 to 0.8 increasing lift slightly.........I used crow springs in the end.
