hey guys,
i have a l300 van with a 4g63+t bolted on cordia turbo and single point injection, everything worked for abot 6 months, but as it was already all wired in when i bought it i havent got a clue what has been fiddled with, so a few days ago it really strugged to boost to 2 psi (usually 15psi) it felt really bogged down, when i got it home it would only hit 4000rpm and just pulse im guessing this is limp mode.. my tps wires were broken but one wire has alway been broken, wat causes limp mode? any places i should start??

have you tried simply removing the battery terminals for a few minutes to clear any error codes, after you fixed the TPS wires?

If it still wont run, check for error codes with a test light.
Might shed some light on the subject.

how about you start by fixing the tps, as per your description, the wires were broken?

Sounds like a faulty AFM, disconnect it and see if it revs over 4500. (Code 3)
Code 2 has me stuffed, that's the ignition output from the coil........but if the ECU can't see it, it won't start....have you bridged 12 volt onto the positive side of the coil?

My main concern is error code 2 is driven by the main control relay.

No........code 2 should not show once the ignition is turned on........the ECU will "see" the circuit through the negative terminal of the coil.

oh ok, but if the signal wasn't there it wouldn't run right? could it be the knock controller? that limp the motor when the sensor picks up any pinging or anything?

No........the ignition is separate to injection........the retardation of timing is controlled by the igniter (E101) not the ECU.

This will not show a code error.

think it would have anything to do with it being in a van? im still using van starter and ignition, and it has a 12v+ running to ecu, i will get another afm and see what that dose, then mayby investigate code 2 alittle further?

This is starting to sound like the vacuum advance unit on the dizzy, does it throw flames out the exhaust?
