Hi All

Just purchased another AC Cordia turbo after a ten year break :-)
The car is currently not running - turns over but does not start.

I did a ecu error check and I just got a one pulse on off constantly so assume o2 sensor?
I checked the sensor wiring and found the wiring on the female side of the connector (on top of the rocker cover) just pulled out of the connector.

What is the best way to re attach this wire as it has some sort of gel/silicon in there like other connectors.
Also would this stop the car starting?

Thanks Mick

The code error 1 is normal for an AC as the sensor has not been heated by the exhaust..............you could get another connector as it sounds like the other end is broken (some as my AC), as for it not starting sounds like a dead E101........does the tacho "bounce" when cranked?

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

Will be doing some more fault finding tomorrow so will see about the E101.
They guy I bought it from had no luck starting it and I think messed around with the dizzy.
How do I make sure it's set right?

The engine should start regardless of the dizzy position............grab a timing light and have a look.

Hi

Put a new battery to do some more testing today.
I have the tacho bounce as I crank it so assume a dead E101
I guess know I just have to find a replacement and a o2 female connector?

Cheers Mick

Sorry I just re - read the FAQ on engine troubles and a dead E101 is no bounce so looks like this is ok?
I guess start looking at other things?

If the dizzy has been played with, set the engine up top dead centre and see where the rotor button is sitting, should be firing on cylinder 1.
