Hi All

Can someone confirm the part number of the distributor (mechanical unit) for an AC Cordia turbo?
I have one in the car and a spare but they have different part numbers on them.
Also called Mitsubishi spares and the part is no longer available. Can these be rebuilt?

Thanks Mick

Mick,
Don't worry about the part number, I have an AB one in my AC and it runs fine. :)

Last 4 digits:
AB - 3172
AC - 3180

This is the one currently installed.
It seems to have an extra electrical connection that appears broke?

That's a capacitor to reduce noise............nothing to worry about............that dizzy position doesn't look right......it should be around 6.30 on the clock. (Cylinder 1 might just be the photo angle)

Yep, going to pull it out and re install just to make sure all in properly.
Not really sure how to test the dizzy though?
I guess if it rotates freely and no obvious damage it should be good?
Pulled the spark plugs today. All black, fuel smell and no 3 had some oil on it :-(
Also no 1 was a different type!

Thanks for your help

Cheers Mick

Your dizzy must be working as the "generator" is going back to the E101 causing the tacho to pulse when the key is turned to start.......from the pics you need to revolve the dizzy a few teeth. :)
