Post subject:  Magna front brakes, same pad as stock?

Ok I was always under the impression that my cordia had upgraded front brakes (from a tn/tm Magna)
Scrolling through the bendix brake catalog I have found that the later model cordias (84 onwards pretty much) ran the same pad (db319) as the Magna calipers that are installed on the front of my car
Which has made my curiosity go crazy as I couldn't fit the factory 14" wheels over these.
Anyone know more on this topic? Are they the same pad yet different sized caliper?
So confused as to why the factory alloys don't fit over these Magna ones.
Any help would be muchly appreciated.

The AA/AB/AC cordia turbo runs the same pad as the TM/TN/TP magnas.

Are the calipers/discs the same?

Not for the AA/AB caliper is smaller as is the disc.........AC and Magna run the same caliper as the disc size is 266mm.......only difference is the cordia disc is bolted on where the magna is a floating disc.

Most things are the same but the camshaft is different.

Correct, the AB has a 264 duration where the AC is 256 duration.

The AC also runs hardened valve seats due to unleaded petrol.

Electrical components are also different from AB to AC, dissy, AFM, MAP and E101 etc.

The series 1 4g63 is different, the 62 and 63 may look the same but have many variables, mainly wide block or narrow block.
