gto is east - west layout and four wheel drive. I think it would be tight to fit too Dave

yeah im considering mivec for transplant if i ever get to it.. i think the 1.6 one'd be a bit faster than the cordia engine and n/a even, which i think would be funny- putting in a smaller engine haha.

gto / 6g72 is a east/west layout... 6g72 needs a wider engine bay.

for example, TR magnas with the 6g72 engine (same engine, just single cam n/a) compared with 4cyl magnas actually have different engine bay dimentions... going by that logic, cordia engine bay is even smaller than 4cyl magna, so don't like your chances.

you can get enough power out of an VR4/evo1-3 motor with enough work, it doesn't really make sense to do anything different.

I remember a while ago, someone once posted a "can you fit an RB26DETT into a cordia" thread... lol

I'd be impressed if you could even fit a DOHC v6 into the Cordia engine bay, let alone connect it up. Those things barely fit into the giant GTO/Galant engine bays.
