Yes it did, I brought it but as the ad says I need a ute. I'm not expecting to get that amount but a hell of a lot off work has gone into it since I brought it.

Yeah thanks mate, I think the value of cordias are going to rise now since they are becoming collectable. Remember that these cars pretty much introduced turbos to Australia. I've had so many people comment on my car saying how they remember them and that they haven't seen one for years. And really what other car can you buy in the price range off a cordia and have the same performance?

I've always thought they were too cheap, especially clean ones. I guess the we will see!

No offence on the owner but it has 84 tail lights, 85 front and an 86 interior.

That's my one, I only sold it to him a month ago. It is an 84 model but I put the grill/interior in it out of another cordia when I had it, the later interior is so much better.

Lol Andrew, your probably one of the only people who could recognise something like that. I'd have no idea.

This one is doing the rounds.

2 different owners already from July last year, what's up with it? Understandably everyone has different circumstances etc. but man, somebody hang onto this thing.

Nice hike in price as well, member geewiz had it up for a mere $1000 ONO & new owner trying to palm it off for $5000 (http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/wakeley/cars-vans-utes/1984-mitsubishi-cordia-hatchback/1069370562) interested to know what has increased it's value so drastically in that time aside from the minor list advertised.

2 weeks after I brought it the motor had thrown a rod out the side of the block due to a dodgy rebuild so I ended up having to buy another cordia for the engine and do work to that motor as well. To get all that work done by a garage it probably would've cost around $3000. I didn't really want to sell it but I've got another project that I wanted to do more then the Cordia so I did have to let it go. The bloke that brought it off me and is currently selling it told me that it he was going to replace his scorpion with it but it seems to me that he's just whacked a bov and central locking on it and hope to make a profit.

Not stolen (haha). I've had the passenger door pushing in the front quarter panel when you open it problem and it is a pain in the ass. Good luck to the seller though. Seats look good.

F^&K, what's with the door actuator on the outside?

Surely you can do what I did when I removed my door handles and locks and insert a remote system!

Ex show car my ass!

Post subject:  Re: eBay / Carsales / Tradingpost Car Sightings

You need those actuators for legal reasons when you remove handles, there has to be some mechanical way to open the door from the outside in the event that you are in a accident.

The law is debatable........I actually have an emergency override in case the remote doesn't work (can use a 9 volt battery in extreme cases).............how many people drive around with their doors locked?.........This will be a problem as emergency services will smash the window.

Post subject:  Re: eBay / Carsales / Tradingpost Car Sightings

Yep, emergency services are not concerned if they damage your car or not. They will just smash whatever they have to. As for driving around with your doors locked, that all depends on where you live as to whether it is a concern or not. Most remote locking systems will automatically unlock the doors once the engine is switched off.

It's still a great reason for cops to defect your car and for your car to get knocked back for rego (at least in NSW).

There is a metallic venetian red GSL at Just little cars here in Adelaide, noticed it this afternoon when purchasing a part for my wife's car..........It had cordiafreaks stickers on the bottom of both quarter windows and had the GSR rubber wing on the hatch..........did anybody on here used to own it?

Just wondering what was wrong with it mechanically as the guy couldn't tell me.
