Item Condition: Excellent overall condition, well looked after
Price and price conditions: Searching for $2900
Extra Info: See details below

Delivery & Conditions of Delivery: umm... come collect & drive away?

After more than 7 years of ownership the time has finally come to sell the cordia.
In that time i've used the car primarily as a daily driver & it has proven to be extremely reliable in that time.

Here are some details about the car:

Exterior:
Body is in excellent condition for it's age, with no rust whatsoever. There are 1 or 2 small carpark-style dents that haven't broken the paintwork
Paintwork has held up considerably well considering it's red, no fading or peeling
All original badges & protection mouldings, turbo stripe from the sides has been deleted at some stage
16" rims with high quality tyres that still some varying tread left but will need replacing soon

Interior:
Interior is near-to immaculate & orignial, hard to find in this condition
No rips or tears in any of the seats or trims, very clean & original throughout
Only the 1 crack in the dash over the instrument cluster, with a dash mat protecting the dash
Aftermarket boost gauge that sits next to A pillar in line with the instrument cluster
Sony head unit with 6x9's in the parcel shelf - original radio still in it's original spot although it no longer works
Alarm with 2 receivers
Front floor mats

Mechanical:
The car has done 352'000kms, however the engine starts first time every time, doesn't blow any smoke or use much oil
Always serviced regularly using high quality oils & driven only on 98 octane fuel
Whiteline strut brace
K&N air filter
Front-mount intercooler with heat wrap to pipework over rocker cover
2 1/2" exhaust w/ 3" tip & braided dump pipe from turbo
TurboXS bleed valve set at 10psi - never booted beyond this, no little yellow wires cut
Any tests or checks welcome
Long rego 'til December 2011

Overall this is an excellent surviving example of a Cordia, which are becoming a rare commodity nowadays.
Highly recommended for those who want to sample some 80's nostalgia!
Genuine reason for sale, I now have too many cars & only a single car garage!
I'll be chasing $2900 for it, would like to see it go to a good home. Mobile number is 0405 631 185, feel free to call at a reasonable hour.

Cheers
Stephen

If my next car didn't have to do 800k's a week for me I would literally come down today and grab this for 2.5k.

even though i'll be sad to see it go, i now have 3 cars & therefore it's best to relinquish one of my toys, let someone else enjoy it.
i'm certainly not forced to sell from a financial standpoint, so there's no reason to give up kidneys etc lol, i just don't have the room to keep all 3 cars!

as i mentioned before, i'm keen to see it go to someone else who also has an interest in cordias, as they would appreciate this car more. so i'm prepared to be reasonably flexable regarding a sale if this is achieved! :)

Red cordial has finally been sold!
New owner picked it up yesterday, so it’s the end of an era for me after 7 ½ years of ownership.

The cordia turned out to be a lot more reliable than I ever thought it would be, and was a great little car to get around in. I will miss it but it’s also time to move on, let someone else enjoy it.
I’ve bought a ’00 VR4 galant back in February which has made for a more-that-adequate replacement, plus it’s more ergonomic for my 6’2” frame than the cordia was.

Thanks again guys :)

Bit of a Grandpa car compared to the Evo's, but it's a perfect daily.

I get really good k's out of mine, mostly country driving though. I get about 520k's to a 60ltr tank with always about 5ltrs left when I fill.

i struggle to get 250 city driving (i am a bit of a lead foot tho) open road i get up too 450-500 when the light comes on, but i usually only manage to put 45-50 litres in at that point so i think the light is a bit premature, makes it seem worse than it acutually is in both cases, never acutually sat down and worked it out for a full city run but country driving i get 10-11l per 100

Bitza, nobody from this forum bought the car, however the guy who bought it came across as someone who's keen on cordias and is sensible enough to look after it. so with any luck he may pop onto here at some stage.

Jon, yeah something along those lines can be arranged at some stage. mind you my VR4 is a silver, bog-stock type-v example so there's not much to see.

i thought about grabbing an evo however the main drawbacks were the purchase price, insurance cost & theft risk / general negative attention. with the VR4, nobody pays attention which is great. to the untrained eye, it's just another lancer! :)
