Ok, so the search is over, and then some!

I was getting very impatient, so i ended up buying one yesterday locally, that "needs a little work" for $500

The interior's a little ratty, and i suspect it's been clocked back, but generally inside and out it isn't too bad. Mechanically, he claims there is water coming out of a plug? in the side of the motor. I suspect water pump, but i'm not an expert, anyone else here had this problem? water is apparently coming out of here

BUT! i just laid my eyes on this on ebay, and could not pass it up! so straight away hit the buy it now button! lol

At $3500 it's a slightly high premium i know the last cordia i owned and sold about 11 years ago for about the same price!

It's just such a good example though

And no... Sure $3500 is a bit if you think of it as 3500 for a 80's car.
However cordias are becoming very rare, and are only going up in value.

To me, if that car is as good as it looks in the photos, for an unmolested Cordia in that nic, its worth more then that. (and will only go up).

The water is coming out of the inspection hole to adjust the tensioner......the water pump is buggered my friend.

yeah i thought it was the pump.

But some bad news, the owner of the red one i bought on ebay messaged me today, he took it out for a drive, and suspects it's done a bottom end bearing I really don't want a massive project right now, so i've decided to give it a miss

Bugger...........it's not a hard fix......could be something else "rattling"?

Simply use it as a bargaining tool and get it for bugger all!

Oh well... At least you have the black one.

i know, but at that price i kind of want something that i don't have to make so many sacrifices with, along with the "rattling", it had no A/C and no power steering. I want it to have those things too. It was friggen mint though, it was a hard call.

True! Picking it up tomorrow, pretty excited. But, i am still looking just in case i find something better
