That's an evo 8 turbo i believe. Your going to need a manifold to suit.

Problem is the 62 head exhaust ports are different to the 63. As far as i know you'll probably need an exhaust manifold custom made.

Would be very interesting to see how this turbo goes on a 4g62.

before i get everything i need to make this turbo fit i need to know
if its not going to work with 62 tell me now.
on the exhaust side of the turbo has 2 outer holes
can someone tell me why can i block 1 hole
if i did what would happen?

Are you talking about blocking one of the exhaust entry points into the turbo? I have never heard of anyone doing that so who knows what would happen.

That turbo is a twin scroll. The 62 is a single scroll. You need a twin scroll manifold to suit. If the TD turbos were easy to mate to a 62 then everyone would be doing it. Unless you custom make a manifold then i wouldn't buy that turbo.

The early TD05 turbo's were single scroll. The galant vr4, evo 1, 2 & 3. I'm pretty sure there is a thread that exists on this forum of someone who matched an early TD05 to a 62 manifold. I'm pretty sure they used a big thick adapter plate because i don't think the bolt holes match up between the 62 manifold and the TD turbo.

i was going to make adapter plate to suit why or what difference
does it make twin scroll putting single adapter plate with big opening

you known the funny thing they look identical to a tc06 from the inlet side
exhaust can't tell the dump pipe in the way could i remove exhaust side put tc06 on it

Honestly i couldn't tell you. I'd imagine that exhaust gases coming from one hole going into 2 would create turbulence that is probably not very beneficial to the spinning of the turbine and turbo response. But i'm just guessing really.

I'm pretty sure the turbine wheels are a different size.

Awesome..........the EVO turbo won't fit the 62 manifold even with an adapter plate.........surface displacement is too large.

What turbo that will work is the EVO 1-3 TD05-16G and dump pipe (make sure the kit has the water lines, and you will need to cut the drain in two and link it with a hose). You will need to build a new front section for the exhaust and make sure that the wastegate is under 11psi. Also the 4-wire o2 mod is recommended. I have this setup on my car, and I am waiting to get an adjustable wastegate and run a 7-10psi spring. The turbo I have opens the wastegate about 12-13psi and the car will fuel cut (if I put my foot into it). It seems happiest around 7-10psi on the engine. I'll post some pics when I get home today.
