I now have a major headache...........I can get the power window (Drivers side) to come down one remote only...........It's wired to the battery with the remote controlling the earth..............I have tried many ways today, but if I wire the main switch to the loom it instantly blows the fuse.

The system worked before but now I'm scratching my head..........the remote system is wired independently of the main switch, but for some reason the every time I wire in the window the fuse blows.......not sure how this happens as the main switch requires an ignition 12V not battery voltage.

Can anybody help?

Obviously not............I can get it to work but need to relay off the main power to run the remote system with a NC relay.

The earth on switch block will also require a NO relay, so when the ignition is turned "on" the earth relay will close and the remote system "open" allowing isolation of the remote system.

It might be easier to use 5 pin switches rather than the 2 pin ones I currently have, makes for less to go wrong.

Does anybody have any VN-VP power window switches?

It's not the motor............got both systems working now.......but need another NO relay on the actual power window circuit to remove power from the motor once the remote system is added......If both wires are connected the motor pulls to many amps blowing the fuse..............you should see all the wiring!!!!

So in the end u used cordia front, sigma back?

What did you use to join it? and cover it?

on a side note, what sort of paint did you use to paint the plastic trim, whats sort of prep is required?

I would like to try the same but in red, i have some beautiful red carpet im going to put in from my red cordia.

Terrence,
Yes.........it's the sigma rear cordia front.......both halves are fibreglassed together with a little bog to cover the join.........it was then prepared in "flexiprime" in order for the paint to stick.

K&N make the exact colour.......it's vinyl and plastic paint called charcoal.
