not really. GSR = 4WD traction
VR4 Cordia = no traction
VR4 Cordia with LSD = winner

any body keen to meet up friday the 19th at 9pm at bilo on the corner of marion and anzac? i will be there with "SHY motorsport" if something on the car doesnt break

Off the line that is correct. Rolling start, a stock lancer GSR doesn't stand a chance against any a well sorted stock VR-4 converted cordia.

Carrot, you had a good base car in which you parted with. Honestly, if you have a lot of money to put into a GSR lancer, well and good, but if not, (performance wise) you have taken a step back.

Jon, friday night might be a goer. I'll let you know.

funny, mate here had a VR4 cordia, sold it and bought a GSR lancer....A big leap forward was his response, when asked.

i dont think even a LSD would make the cordia winner of the launch contest against a gsr but they would reel them in quite quickly due to the weight advantage=winner

friday may be goer...

Ha..obviously a little bit of bias in that. I distinctly recall chewing and spitting out many a lancer GSR even when my car was first converted. What a joker..

take abit for a gsr to keep up with a vr4 cordia.

You realise a GSR will do 13's with minimal mods?
(Exhaust, cooler, ~15psi)

Jesus EVO85 calm down.

Did you notice as soon as I made the JOKE - I put after it....

(ONLY JOKING ROB)

It was a tongue in cheek comment.

And as far as I'm concerned, stepping UP to a car that's 10 years newer, has all the mod cons like power windows & air-con, Turbo AND 4WD is a no brainer....

The Cordia wouldn't launch better than the GSR, period. LSD or not. It's a FWD.
Even without traction control fitted, the GSR would be first off the line every time.

Then there's the question of what would happen when we got to the first corner as well!!

Learn to take a joke in the good humour it was intended with.

I am calm and fully aware that your comments were tongue in cheek.

Maybe i shouldn't have been so serious, but its not obvious to me that i was jumping down your throat. Atleast that wasn't the intent. I was just stating my beliefs in my own opinion in the form of what should have been a halmless debate.

I apologise if i came off the wrong foot.

oh no. Dan, your exhaust is still sitting in my garage. i need to get a new dump pipe made, but i wont bother doin that till i have my 16g on there. i have the exhaust that came with adrians car on there. stock dump, with a 2 1/2" press bent.
RVR top mount but as a front mount and pretty bad and restrictive piping.

nah, i went with Shy motorsport. was a good day.

shit, i haven't noticed this thread 'til now! been way too busy..... otherwise i would've joined in with you lot last friday. :( oh well.

nightime photography is the devil, anything reflective shines back into the camera so you can barely see anything else.

robbo, whats the story behind your new sticker?
