There isn't enough people interested in Cordia's anymore to need 2 forums. I have posted on and occasionally still read Cordiafreaks, but it has even less traffic than Cordiapower. Just let Cordiafreaks die, and concentrate on making this site more interesting, informative and vibrant.

I must agree, cordia freaks does has very little traffic (much less than here) and I might add that it's slow as fark.

Having said all this, we can’t look past Steve being a farken AWESOME Admin who REALLLLLLLLLY loves his site.

BUt all this can only happen if someone starts talking to kham and steve

Shall we put together a petition of E-signatures to gauge peoples desire to merge the 2 sites then send the resulting info to kham and steve? At least try and get something happening? Im all for a Merge of sorts. If anything Steve appears to be a more active Admin. Being on almost daily....

i think its more that they need to talk to each other.. whats the point in having a middle man?

the admins have reasons for doing what they do, while everyone else might not agree its their decision to do so as its their site, they pay the money for hosting etc and we ALL reap the benifits, if you dont like it constructive criticisim like this thread is the way to go, from here its up to kham and steve to have a pow wow and see if something can be aranged (if they havnt already), then we live with the results

i personally can see it as only a good thing and i have had the discussion with kham as you all are here, that s all i and we can do...

its up to them

J

It would be nice...........I actually donate money every month to keep cordiaFreaks running...........I don't want to see a site I have contributed to for many years go under.

Many of the parts I sell are for free (including postage) I just ask for a donation.

I would also donate to a combined site.

I more ment bringing it to there attention and helping the process jimi, other wise who else is gonna light a fire under them and help them get it done, as u said we don't really financially contribute to the site but do use and abuse it, and to expect them to do all the work isnt fair :D

I also contribute to Cordia Freaks whenever i can. Although only in parts which ehen sold the money goes toward it. And would do the same if the 2 sites joined (Although not nearly as much as Andrew!)

Here s Steve's reply:

Hey there Andrew, to combine both sites would cost a lot of money, I'd be thinking around $5000 or so just to merge the databases, I have previously asked kham if he were looking to sell cordiapower, and I would then look at doing such a merge, but both being owned by 2 different people the ownership could become a difficult problem.

I've personally spent thousands of hours working on CF over the years, and im sure kham has also invested much time... but I know what you're saying though, it would be good, but yeah... I think the only way a merge would work is if one party took total ownership of both sites...

Cheers man, i look forward to discussing this further. Have a great night!
Steve

Sorry guys but to be honest, I can't see a merger happening.

And with regards to this forum, I intend on keeping it running and maintained (and will continue to bear the site operating costs as I have for the last 10 or so years) as long as there is at least some demand for it.

Like Steve, I've invested a lot of time into this forum (and the site in earlier times) over the years. There is also a lot of sentimental value in it for me and therefore I have no intention of letting it go.

Plus, it would just be too difficult to sort out management/ownership of a merged site, especially one with such a small community like ours.
